requirements

• Must be 17- 35 years old

• Able to do lots of walking, of good health

• Must be a “backpacker” or “camper” because we will only bring one carry-on bag during the entire pilgrimage. We want to avoid luggages that are hard to carry and easily lost in transit. In Alicante and Lisbon, we will not be staying in luxury hotels but in designated locations and camp sites on sleeping mats.

• Has a US or Schengen Passport. Please verify if your travel credentials can let me you enter Spain, Portugal and France.

• A fee of $2000 for those going to Alicante and Lisbon; and additional $1000 for those continuing to Paris and Lourdes. Prices are subject to change. This fee includes airfare, registration fee, and simple lodgings. A convenient installment payment plan may be arranged with an endorsement from an Assumptionist religious or staff.

• Because we will be traveling in groups, pilgrims must be ready to depart from any of the following locations: Boston, El Paso, Mexico City, and Quebec.

• NOTE: Please do not register directly to the WYD Lisbon website on your own. Rather, please register using this website so that we can register as a “small group.” This means we will be lodged together instead of being lodged in separate host families.
